Previous students work!

Luckily, the video that I had chosen to analyse was unlocked on the Hall of fame for me to watch.
The students work that i chose to look at was one we had watched previously in class by Jem, Zakatziya, Courtney and Fuzail.

There are certain elements to their video that i really enjoyed. I thought editing wise it was incredibly strong, how the edits were cut to the beat and in time through out the song. So i defiantly would say the strongest point of this video is their skill within editing as this is constant throughout and really fits in with the genre of music which they chose to do.

In terms of mise-en-scene, they done okay. As they chose a kind of pop/rock song, i think the props they used were appropriate (guitars) and instantly told the audience what kind of music video/song this would be. Costume wise, although i noticed on one base track they wore pajamas this wasn't as clear as i think it could have been. The costume could have been worked on to help focus the audience on the artist a bit more as i think this would have added to the parts where the main artist is looking into the camera and connecting with the audience.

Elaborating more on mise-en-scene, i think that the locations used here could have been more thought out and worked on as this would have really brought the video together and also i think by choosing different locations they would have shown the audience more clearly the editing skills.

The sound was worked in very well, everything seemed in time and on the beat. which brought the video together as a whole.

Overall, i feel this video worked very well, it was effective for the viewers and was intriguing, i thought the idea for the video was really good as this fitted in so well with the genre chosen.
