We had the same idea for the buses as we did the taxis. Again we had the camera on the ground ( Low angle shot) just near the bus stop, so as the buses would go past we'd capture it one by one. We watched it back and it looked really good. I think not bringing the Tripod with us for the first time really let us explore other angles and heights would co do and other ways to make it look professional.
With the tripod we are always quite limited, having the camera free hand felt pretty good!
