I chose to do Beyonce "Run the world". I have actually never seen this video up until i was searching for a music video example. I thought this was a great video that captures how a music video should be done. It's crazy and always interesting. The video uses amplification, as the video does touch on what the song is about, but does not illustrate it.

As a pop video, there is a few dance routines, but done in an intriguing way to the viewer. Also the dance moves are promoting the artist not only through the "Male Gaze" but also as she breaks the third barrier by looking at the camera and making the audience be involved in the performance The song would attract women as it is very feminist song, but by also including the male gaze and have men in the video. it allows a wider target audience for the song.
The mise-en-scene in this video to me is one of the best parts. I love all the crazy things like the crocodile, leopards and explosions. I thought it was very entertaining and i would listen to the song again.
And as you can see in the picture, Beyonce is represented as a very strong female figure which i think in this video reflects her well as an artist for the younger generation as well as dedicated fans.
