Mise-en-scene: MAKE-UP IDEA'S

I'm going to do a few blogs on the Mise-en-scene as i think that this is probably the most important technical element to music video's in my opinion so i want to make sure in this group we have it pre-planned.

The first element of Mise-en-scene i have been currently thinking about is the makeup used for artists. I want to try and maybe create a signature look as all artists do. For emample:

Jessie J:

Jessie J's signature makeup is usually smokey eyes with a bold lipsticks.

Beyonce:

Beyonce almost always has natural looking makeup. In many videos except a few she wears this look.

In my opinion on a music video a female artist would usually have quite flirty makeup. Our genre however does not have many videos to go by and as we are doing a video using disjuncture i think it would be a good idea to do bold, extravagant make-up instead of just something simple. We will definitely be using false lashes as they would work best on camera and would stand out more.
Tomorrow i will discuss with my group make-up idea's for our artist in the video. so i will update this post once we have all discussed idea's.
